Psalm 2:1-6

YLT 1 Why have nations tumultuously assembled? And do peoples meditate vanity? NIV 1 Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? YLT 2 Station themselves do kings of the earth, And princes have been united together, Against Jehovah, and against His Messiah: NIV 2 The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One. YLT 3 `Let us draw off Their cords, And cast from us Their thick bands.' NIV 3 "Let us break their chains," they say, "and throw off their fetters." YLT 4 He who is sitting in the heavens doth laugh, The Lord doth mock at them. NIV 4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. YLT 5 Then doth He speak unto them in His anger, And in His wrath He doth trouble them: NIV 5 Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, YLT 6 `And I -- I have anointed My King, Upon Zion -- My holy hill.' NIV 6 "I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill."
