Psalm 3

TMB 1 <<A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.>> LORD, how they have increased that trouble me! Many are they that rise up against me! NIV 1 O LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! TMB 2 Many there be that say of my soul, "There is no help for him in God." Selah NIV 2 Many are saying of me, "God will not deliver him." "Selah" TMB 3 But Thou, O LORD, art a shield for me, my glory and the lifter up of mine head. NIV 3 But you are a shield around me, O LORD; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head. TMB 4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill. Selah NIV 4 To the LORD I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill. "Selah" TMB 5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked, for the LORD sustained me. NIV 5 I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me. TMB 6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people that have set themselves against me round about. NIV 6 I will not fear the tens of thousands drawn up against me on every side. TMB 7 Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! For Thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheekbone; Thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly. NIV 7 Arise, O LORD! Deliver me, O my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked. TMB 8 Salvation belongeth unto the LORD. Thy blessing is upon Thy people. Selah NIV 8 From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people. "Selah"
