Psalm 30

CSB 1 I will exalt You, Lord, because You have lifted me up and have not allowed my enemies to triumph over me. NIV 1 I will exalt you, O LORD, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me. CSB 2 Lord my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me. NIV 2 O LORD my God, I called to you for help and you healed me. CSB 3 Lord, You brought me up from Sheol; You spared me from among those going down to the Pit. NIV 3 O LORD, you brought me up from the grave; you spared me from going down into the pit. CSB 4 Sing to the Lord, you His faithful ones, and praise His holy name. NIV 4 Sing to the LORD, you saints of his; praise his holy name. CSB 5 For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor, a lifetime. Weeping may spend the night, but there is joy in the morning. NIV 5 For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. CSB 6 When I was secure, I said, "I will never be shaken." NIV 6 When I felt secure, I said, "I will never be shaken." CSB 7 Lord, when You showed Your favor, You made me stand like a strong mountain; when You hid Your face, I was terrified. NIV 7 O LORD, when you favored me, you made my mountain stand firm; but when you hid your face, I was dismayed. CSB 8 Lord, I called to You; I sought favor from my Lord: NIV 8 To you, O LORD, I called; to the Lord I cried for mercy: CSB 9 "What gain is there in my death, in my descending to the Pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it proclaim Your truth? NIV 9 "What gain is there in my destruction, in my going down into the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your faithfulness? CSB 10 Lord, listen and be gracious to me; Lord, be my helper." NIV 10 Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me; O LORD, be my help." CSB 11 You turned my lament into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, NIV 11 You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, CSB 12 so that I can sing to You and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise You forever. NIV 12 that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.
