Psalm 30

NKJV 1 A Psalm. A Song at the dedication of the house of David. I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up, And have not let my foes rejoice over me. NIV 1 I will exalt you, O LORD, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me. NKJV 2 O Lord my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me. NIV 2 O LORD my God, I called to you for help and you healed me. NKJV 3 O Lord, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. NIV 3 O LORD, you brought me up from the grave; you spared me from going down into the pit. NKJV 4 Sing praise to the Lord, You saints of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. NIV 4 Sing to the LORD, you saints of his; praise his holy name. NKJV 5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning. NIV 5 For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. NKJV 6 Now in my prosperity I said, "I shall never be moved." NIV 6 When I felt secure, I said, "I will never be shaken." NKJV 7 Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong; You hid Your face, and I was troubled. NIV 7 O LORD, when you favored me, you made my mountain stand firm; but when you hid your face, I was dismayed. NKJV 8 I cried out to You, O Lord; And to the Lord I made supplication: NIV 8 To you, O LORD, I called; to the Lord I cried for mercy: NKJV 9 "What profit is there in my blood, When I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth? NIV 9 "What gain is there in my destruction, in my going down into the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your faithfulness? NKJV 10 Hear, O Lord, and have mercy on me; Lord, be my helper!" NIV 10 Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me; O LORD, be my help." NKJV 11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, NIV 11 You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, NKJV 12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever. NIV 12 that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.
