Psalm 33

HNV 1 Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous! Praise is fitting for the upright. NIV 1 Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him. HNV 2 Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre. Sing praises to him with the harp of ten strings. NIV 2 Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre. HNV 3 Sing to him a new song. Play skillfully with a shout of joy! NIV 3 Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy. HNV 4 For the word of the LORD is right. All his work is done in faithfulness. NIV 4 For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. HNV 5 He loves righteousness and justice. NIV 14 from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth-- HNV 15 He who fashions all of their hearts. He considers all of their works. NIV 15 he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do. HNV 16 There is no king saved by the multitude of a host. A mighty man is not delivered by great strength. NIV 16 No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength. HNV 17 A horse is a vain thing for safety, Neither does he deliver any by his great power. NIV 17 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save. HNV 18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, On those who hope in his lovingkindness; NIV 18 But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, HNV 19 To deliver their soul from death, To keep them alive in famine.
