Psalm 34

CSB 1 I will praise the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips. NIV 1 I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. CSB 2 I will boast in the Lord; the humble will hear and be glad. NIV 2 My soul will boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. CSB 3 Proclaim with me the Lord's greatness; let us exalt His name together. NIV 3 Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together. CSB 4 I sought the Lord, and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears. NIV 4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. CSB 5 Those who look to Him are radiant with joy; their faces will never be ashamed. NIV 5 Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. CSB 6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard [him] and saved him from all his troubles. NIV 6 This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. CSB 7 The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them. NIV 7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. CSB 8 Taste and see that the Lord is good. How happy is the man who takes refuge in Him! NIV 8 Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. CSB 9 Fear the Lord, you His saints, for those who fear Him lack nothing. NIV 9 Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing. CSB 10 Young lions lack food and go hungry, but those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing. NIV 10 The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. CSB 11 Come, children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord. NIV 11 Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. CSB 12 Who is the man who delights in life, loving a long life to enjoy what is good? NIV 12 Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, CSB 13 Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from deceitful speech. NIV 13 keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies. CSB 14 Turn away from evil and do what is good; seek peace and pursue it. NIV 14 Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. CSB 15 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry for help. NIV 15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry; CSB 16 The face of the Lord is set against those who do what is evil, to erase all memory of them from the earth. NIV 16 the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. CSB 17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them from all their troubles. NIV 17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. CSB 18 The Lord is near the brokenhearted; He saves those crushed in spirit. NIV 18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. CSB 19 Many adversities come to the one who is righteous, but the Lord delivers him from them all. NIV 19 A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all; CSB 20 He protects all his bones; not one of them is broken. NIV 20 he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken. CSB 21 Evil brings death to the sinner, and those who hate the righteous will be punished. NIV 21 Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned. CSB 22 The Lord redeems the life of His servants, and all who take refuge in Him will not be punished. NIV 22 The LORD redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.
