Psalm 34

WEB 1 <<By David; when he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.>> I will bless Yahweh at all times. His praise will always be in my mouth. NIV 1 I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. WEB 2 My soul shall boast in Yahweh. The humble shall hear of it, and be glad. NIV 2 My soul will boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. WEB 3 Oh magnify Yahweh with me. Let us exalt his name together. NIV 3 Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together. WEB 4 I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, And delivered me from all my fears. NIV 4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. WEB 5 They looked to him, and were radiant. Their faces shall never be covered with shame. NIV 5 Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. WEB 6 This poor man cried, and Yahweh heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. NIV 6 This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. WEB 7 The angel of Yahweh encamps round about those who fear him, And delivers them. NIV 7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. WEB 8 Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. NIV 8 Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. WEB 9 Oh fear Yahweh, you his saints, For there is no lack with those who fear him. NIV 9 Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing. WEB 10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, But those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing. NIV 10 The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. WEB 11 Come, you children, listen to me. I will teach you the fear of Yahweh. NIV 11 Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. WEB 12 Who is someone who desires life, And loves many days, that he may see good? NIV 12 Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, WEB 13 Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking lies. NIV 13 keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies. WEB 14 Depart from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it. NIV 14 Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. WEB 15 The eyes of Yahweh are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry. NIV 15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry; WEB 16 The face of Yahweh is against those who do evil, To cut off the memory of them from the earth. NIV 16 the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. WEB 17 The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. NIV 17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. WEB 18 Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves those who have a crushed spirit. NIV 18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. WEB 19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But Yahweh delivers him out of them all. NIV 19 A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all; WEB 20 He protects all of his bones. Not one of them is broken. NIV 20 he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken. WEB 21 Evil shall kill the wicked. Those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. NIV 21 Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned. WEB 22 Yahweh redeems the soul of his servants. None of those who take refuge in him shall be condemned. NIV 22 The LORD redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.
