GW 1 Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness. You have freed me from my troubles. Have pity on me, and hear my prayer! NIV 1 Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer. GW 2 ou important people, how long are you going to insult my honor? How long are you going to love what is empty and seek what is a lie? Selah NIV 2 How long, O men, will you turn my glory into shame ? How long will you love delusions and seek false gods ? "Selah" GW 3 Know that the LORD singles out godly people for himself. The LORD hears me when I call to him. NIV 3 Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself; the LORD will hear when I call to him. GW 4 remble and do not sin. Think about this on your bed and remain quiet. Selah NIV 4 In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. "Selah" GW 5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness by trusting the LORD. NIV 6 Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?" Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD. GW 7 You put more joy in my heart than when their grain and new wine increase. NIV 7 You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound. GW 8 I fall asleep in peace the moment I lie down because you alone, O LORD, enable me to live securely. NIV 8 I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
