Psalm 47

CSB 1 Clap your hands, all you peoples; shout to God with a jubilant cry. NIV 1 Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. CSB 2 For the Lord Most High is awe-inspiring, a great King over all the earth. NIV 2 How awesome is the LORD Most High, the great King over all the earth! CSB 3 He subdues peoples under us and nations under our feet. NIV 3 He subdued nations under us, peoples under our feet. CSB 4 He chooses for us our inheritance- the pride of Jacob, whom He loves. Selah NIV 4 He chose our inheritance for us, the pride of Jacob, whom he loved. "Selah" CSB 5 God ascends amid shouts of joy, the Lord, amid the sound of trumpets. NIV 5 God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the LORD amid the sounding of trumpets. CSB 6 Sing praise to God, sing praise; sing praise to our King, sing praise! NIV 6 Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises. CSB 7 Sing a song of instruction, for God is King of all the earth. NIV 7 For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise. CSB 8 God reigns over the nations; God is seated on His holy throne. NIV 8 God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne. CSB 9 The nobles of the peoples have assembled [with] the people of the God of Abraham. For the leaders of the earth belong to God; He is greatly exalted. NIV 9 The nobles of the nations assemble as the people of the God of Abraham, for the kings of the earth belong to God; he is greatly exalted.
