RHE 1 <Unto the end, in verses, a psalm for David, for the octave.> (6-2) O Lord, rebuke me not in thy indignation, nor chastise me in thy wrath. NIV 1 O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath. RHE 2 (6-3) Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak: heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled. NIV 2 Be merciful to me, LORD, for I am faint; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are in agony. RHE 3 (6-4) And my soul is troubled exceedingly: but thou, O Lord, how long? NIV 3 My soul is in anguish. How long, O LORD, how long? RHE 4 (6-5) Turn to me, O Lord, and deliver my soul: O save me for thy mercy’s sake. NIV 4 Turn, O LORD, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love. RHE 5 (6-6) For there is no one in death, that is mindful of thee: and who shall confess to thee in hell? NIV 5 No one remembers you when he is dead. Who praises you from the grave ? RHE 6 (6-7) I have laboured in my groanings, every night I will wash my bed: I will water my couch with my tears. NIV 6 I am worn out from groaning; all night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears. RHE 7 (6-8) My eye is troubled through indignation: I have grown old amongst all my enemies. NIV 7 My eyes grow weak with sorrow; they fail because of all my foes. RHE 8 (6-9) Depart from em, all ye workers of iniquity: for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping. NIV 8 Away from me, all you who do evil, for the LORD has heard my weeping. RHE 9 (6-10) The Lord hath heard my supplication: the Lord hath received my prayer. NIV 9 The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer. RHE 10 (6-11) Let all my enemies be ashamed, and be very much troubled: let them be turned back, and be ashamed very speedily. NIV 10 All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed; they will turn back in sudden disgrace.
