Psalm 71

NRS 1 In you, O Lord, I take refuge; let me never be put to shame. NIV 1 In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame. NRS 2 In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline your ear to me and save me. NIV 2 Rescue me and deliver me in your righteousness; turn your ear to me and save me. NRS 3 Be to me a rock of refuge, a strong fortress, to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. NIV 3 Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. NIV 11 They say, "God has forsaken him; pursue him and seize him, for no one will rescue him." NRS 12 O God, do not be far from me; O my God, make haste to help me! NIV 12 Be not far from me, O God; come quickly, O my God, to help me. NRS 13 Let my accusers be put to shame and consumed; let those who seek to hurt me be covered with scorn and disgrace. NIV 13 May my accusers perish in shame; may those who want to harm me be covered with scorn and disgrace. NRS 14 But I will hope continually, and will praise you yet more and more. NIV 14 But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more. NRS 15 My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all day long, though their number is past my knowledge. NRS 19 and your righteousness, O God, reach the high heavens. You who have done great things, O God, who is like you? NRS 20 You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again. NIV 20 Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. NRS 21 You will increase my honor, and comfort me once again. NIV 21 You will increase my honor and comfort me once again. NRS 22 I will also praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praises to you with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel.
