GW 1 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name throughout the earth! Your glory is sung above the heavens. NIV 1 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. GW 2 From the mouths of little children and infants, you have built a fortress against your opponents to silence the enemy and the avenger. NIV 2 From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. GW 3 When I look at your heavens, the creation of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have set in place-- NIV 3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, GW 4 what is a mortal that you remember him or the Son of Man that you take care of him? NIV 4 what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? GW 5 You have made him a little lower than yourself. You have crowned him with glory and honor. NIV 5 You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. GW 6 You have made him rule what your hands created. You have put everything under his control: NIV 6 You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet: GW 7 all the sheep and cattle, the wild animals, NIV 7 all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field, GW 8 the birds, the fish, whatever swims in the currents of the seas.
