NCV 1 Lord our Lord, your name is the most wonderful name in all the earth! It brings you praise in heaven above. NIV 1 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. NCV 2 You have taught children and babies to sing praises to you because of your enemies. And so you silence your enemies and destroy those who try to get even. NIV 2 From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. NCV 3 I look at your heavens, which you made with your fingers. I see the moon and stars, which you created. NIV 3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, NCV 4 But why are people important to you? Why do you take care of human beings? NIV 4 what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? NCV 5 You made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. NIV 5 You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. NCV 6 You put them in charge of everything you made. You put all things under their control: NIV 6 You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet: NCV 7 all the sheep, the cattle, and the wild animals, NIV 7 all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field, NCV 8 the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that lives under water. NIV 8 the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. NCV 9 Lord our Lord, your name is the most wonderful name in all the earth! For the director of music.
