Psalm 87

NRS 1 On the holy mount stands the city he founded; NIV 1 He has set his foundation on the holy mountain; NRS 2 the Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. NIV 2 the LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. NRS 3 Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God. (Selah) NIV 3 Glorious things are said of you, O city of God: "Selah" NRS 4 Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon; Philistia too, and Tyre, with Ethiopia — "This one was born there," they say. NIV 4 "I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me-- Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush-- and will say, 'This one was born in Zion.' " NRS 5 And of Zion it shall be said, "This one and that one were born in it"; for the Most High himself will establish it. NIV 5 Indeed, of Zion it will be said, "This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High himself will establish her." NRS 6 The Lord records, as he registers the peoples, "This one was born there." (Selah) NIV 6 The LORD will write in the register of the peoples: "This one was born in Zion." "Selah" NRS 7 Singers and dancers alike say, "All my springs are in you." NIV 7 As they make music they will sing, "All my fountains are in you."
