Psalm 92

BBE 1 <A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath.> It is a good thing to give praise to the Lord, and to make melody to your name, O Most High; NIV 1 It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, BBE 2 To make clear your mercy in the morning, and your unchanging faith every night; NIV 2 to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, BBE 3 On a ten-corded instrument, and on an instrument of music with a quiet sound. NIV 3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp. BBE 4 For you, O Lord, have made me glad through your work; I will have joy in the works of your hands. NIV 4 For you make me glad by your deeds, O LORD; I sing for joy at the works of your hands. BBE 5 O Lord, how great are your works! and your thoughts are very deep. NIV 5 How great are your works, O LORD, how profound your thoughts! BBE 6 A man without sense has no knowledge of this; and a foolish man may not take it in. NIV 6 The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand, BBE 7 When the sinners come up like the grass, and all the workers of evil do well for themselves, it is so that their end may be eternal destruction. NIV 7 that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed. BBE 8 But you, O Lord, are on high for ever. NIV 8 But you, O LORD, are exalted forever. BBE 9 For see! your haters, O Lord, will be put to death; all the workers of evil will be put to flight; NIV 9 For surely your enemies, O LORD, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. BBE 10 But my horn is lifted up like the horn of the ox: the best oil is flowing on my head. NIV 10 You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured upon me. BBE 11 My eyes have seen trouble come on my haters; my ears have news of the fate of the evil-doers who have come up against me. NIV 11 My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes. BBE 12 The good man will be like a tall tree in his strength; his growth will be as the wide-stretching trees of Lebanon. NIV 12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; BBE 13 Those who are planted in the house of the Lord will come up tall and strong in his gardens. NIV 13 planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. BBE 14 They will give fruit even when they are old; they will be fertile and full of growth; NIV 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, BBE 15 For a sign that the Lord is upright; he is my Rock, there is no deceit in him. NIV 15 proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."
