Psalm 92

GNT 1 How good it is to give thanks to you, O Lord, to sing in your honor, O Most High God, NIV 1 It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, GNT 2 to proclaim your constant love every morning and your faithfulness every night, NIV 2 to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, GNT 3 with the music of stringed instruments and with melody on the harp. NIV 3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp. GNT 4 Your mighty deeds, O Lord, make me glad; because of what you have done, I sing for joy. NIV 4 For you make me glad by your deeds, O LORD; I sing for joy at the works of your hands. GNT 5 How great are your actions, Lord! How deep are your thoughts! NIV 5 How great are your works, O LORD, how profound your thoughts! GNT 6 This is something a fool cannot know; someone who is stupid cannot understand: NIV 6 The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand, GNT 7 the wicked may grow like weeds, those who do wrong may prosper; yet they will be totally destroyed, NIV 7 that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed. GNT 8 because you, Lord, are supreme forever. NIV 8 But you, O LORD, are exalted forever. GNT 9 We know that your enemies will die, and all the wicked will be defeated. NIV 9 For surely your enemies, O LORD, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. GNT 10 You have made me as strong as a wild ox; you have blessed me with happiness. NIV 10 You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured upon me. GNT 11 I have seen the defeat of my enemies and heard the cries of the wicked. NIV 11 My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes. GNT 12 The righteous will flourish like palm trees; they will grow like the cedars of Lebanon. NIV 12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; GNT 13 They are like trees planted in the house of the Lord, that flourish in the Temple of our God, NIV 13 planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. GNT 14 that still bear fruit in old age and are always green and strong. NIV 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, GNT 15 This shows that the Lord is just, that there is no wrong in my protector. NIV 15 proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."
