Psalm 92

GW 1 It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to make music to praise your name, O Most High. NIV 1 It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, GW 2 It is good to announce your mercy in the morning and your faithfulness in the evening NIV 2 to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, GW 3 on a ten-stringed instrument and a harp and with a melody on a lyre. NIV 3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp. GW 4 You made me find joy in what you have done, O LORD. I will sing joyfully about the works of your hands. NIV 4 For you make me glad by your deeds, O LORD; I sing for joy at the works of your hands. GW 5 How spectacular are your works, O LORD! How very deep are your thoughts! NIV 5 How great are your works, O LORD, how profound your thoughts! GW 6 A stupid person cannot know and a fool cannot understand NIV 6 The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand, GW 7 that wicked people sprout like grass and all troublemakers blossom [like flowers], only to be destroyed forever. NIV 7 that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed. GW 8 But you, O LORD, are highly honored forever. NIV 8 But you, O LORD, are exalted forever. GW 9 Now look at your enemies, O LORD. Now look at your enemies. They disappear, and all troublemakers are scattered. NIV 9 For surely your enemies, O LORD, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. GW 10 But you make me as strong as a wild bull, and soothing lotion is poured on me. NIV 10 You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured upon me. GW 11 My eyes gloat over those who spy on me. My ears hear [the cries] of evildoers attacking me. NIV 11 My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes. GW 12 Righteous people flourish like palm trees and grow tall like the cedars in Lebanon. NIV 12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; GW 13 They are planted in the LORD's house. They blossom in our God's courtyards. NIV 13 planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. GW 14 Even when they are old, they still bear fruit. They are always healthy and fresh. NIV 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, GW 15 They make it known that the LORD is decent. He is my rock. He is never unfair. NIV 15 proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."
