Psalm 92

HNV 1 <<A Psalm. A song for the day of Shabbat.>> It is a good thing to give thanks to the LORD, To sing praises to your name, Elyon; NIV 1 It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, HNV 2 To proclaim your lovingkindness in the morning, And your faithfulness every night, NIV 2 to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, HNV 3 With the ten-stringed lute, with the harp, And with the melody of the lyre. NIV 3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp. HNV 4 For you, LORD, have made me glad through your work. I will triumph in the works of your hands. NIV 4 For you make me glad by your deeds, O LORD; I sing for joy at the works of your hands. HNV 5 How great are your works, LORD! Your thoughts are very deep. NIV 5 How great are your works, O LORD, how profound your thoughts! HNV 6 A senseless man doesn't know, Neither does a fool understand this: NIV 6 The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand, HNV 7 Though the wicked spring up as the grass, And all the evil-doers flourish, They will be destroyed forever. NIV 7 that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed. HNV 8 But you, LORD, are on high forevermore. NIV 8 But you, O LORD, are exalted forever. HNV 9 For, behold, your enemies, LORD, For, behold, your enemies shall perish. All the evil-doers will be scattered. NIV 9 For surely your enemies, O LORD, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. HNV 10 But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox. I am anointed with fresh oil. NIV 10 You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured upon me. HNV 11 My eye has also seen my enemies, My ears have heard of the evil-doers who rise up against me. NIV 11 My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes. HNV 12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree. He will grow like a cedar in Levanon. NIV 12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; HNV 13 They are planted in the LORD's house. They will flourish in our God's courts. NIV 13 planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. HNV 14 They will still bring forth fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green, NIV 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, HNV 15 To show that the LORD is upright. He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. NIV 15 proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."
