Psalm 92

NLT 1 A psalm to be sung on the LORD's Day. A song. It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to the Most High. NIV 1 It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, NLT 2 It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening, NIV 2 to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, NLT 3 accompanied by the harp and lute and the harmony of the lyre. NIV 3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp. NLT 4 You thrill me, LORD, with all you have done for me! I sing for joy because of what you have done. NIV 4 For you make me glad by your deeds, O LORD; I sing for joy at the works of your hands. NLT 5 O LORD, what great miracles you do! And how deep are your thoughts. NIV 5 How great are your works, O LORD, how profound your thoughts! NLT 6 Only an ignorant person would not know this! Only a fool would not understand it. NIV 6 The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand, NLT 7 Although the wicked flourish like weeds, and evildoers blossom with success, there is only eternal destruction ahead of them. NIV 7 that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed. NLT 8 But you are exalted in the heavens. You, O LORD, continue forever. NIV 8 But you, O LORD, are exalted forever. NLT 9 Your enemies, LORD, will surely perish; all evildoers will be scattered. NIV 9 For surely your enemies, O LORD, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. NLT 10 But you have made me as strong as a wild bull. How refreshed I am by your power! NIV 10 You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured upon me. NLT 11 With my own eyes I have seen the downfall of my enemies; with my own ears I have heard the defeat of my wicked opponents. NIV 11 My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes. NLT 12 But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. NIV 12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; NLT 13 For they are transplanted into the LORD's own house. They flourish in the courts of our God. NIV 13 planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. NLT 14 Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green. NIV 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, NLT 15 They will declare, "The LORD is just! He is my rock! There is nothing but goodness in him!" NIV 15 proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."
