RSV 1 O come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! NIV 1 Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. RSV 2 Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! NIV 2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. RSV 3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. NIV 3 For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods. RSV 4 In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also. NIV 4 In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. RSV 5 The sea is his, for he made it; for his hands formed the dry land. NIV 5 The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. RSV 6 O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker! NIV 6 Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; RSV 7 For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. O that today you would hearken to his voice! NIV 7 for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Today, if you hear his voice, RSV 8 Harden not your hearts, as at Mer'ibah, as on the day at Massah in the wilderness, NIV 8 do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, as you did that day at Massah in the desert, RSV 9 when your fathers tested me, and put me to the proof, though they had seen my work. NIV 9 where your fathers tested and tried me, though they had seen what I did. RSV 10 For forty years I loathed that generation and said, "They are a people who err in heart, and they do not regard my ways." NIV 10 For forty years I was angry with that generation; I said, "They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known my ways." RSV 11 Therefore I swore in my anger that they should not enter my rest. NIV 11 So I declared on oath in my anger, "They shall never enter my rest."
