Psalm 99

DBY 1 Jehovah reigneth: let the peoples tremble. He sitteth [between the] cherubim: let the earth be moved. NIV 1 The LORD reigns, let the nations tremble; he sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake. DBY 2 Jehovah is great in Zion, and he is high above all the peoples. NIV 2 Great is the LORD in Zion; he is exalted over all the nations. DBY 3 They shall praise thy great and terrible name, -- it is holy! -- NIV 3 Let them praise your great and awesome name-- he is holy. DBY 4 And the strength of the king that loveth justice. *Thou* hast established equity: it is thou that executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob. NIV 4 The King is mighty, he loves justice-- you have established equity; in Jacob you have done what is just and right. DBY 5 Exalt Jehovah our God, and worship at his footstool. He is holy! NIV 5 Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy. DBY 6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name: they called unto Jehovah, and *he* answered them. NIV 6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel was among those who called on his name; they called on the LORD and he answered them. DBY 7 He spoke unto them in the pillar of cloud: they kept his testimonies, and the statute that he gave them. NIV 7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept his statutes and the decrees he gave them. DBY 8 Jehovah, our God, *thou* answeredst them: a forgiving God wast thou unto them, though thou tookest vengeance of their doings. NIV 8 O LORD our God, you answered them; you were to Israel a forgiving God, though you punished their misdeeds. DBY 9 Exalt Jehovah our God, and worship at the hill of his holiness; for holy is Jehovah our God. NIV 9 Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the LORD our God is holy.
