Psalm 99

NIRV 1 The LORD rules. Let the nations tremble. He sits on his throne between the cherubim. Let the earth shake. NIV 1 The LORD reigns, let the nations tremble; he sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake. NIRV 2 Great is the LORD in Zion. He is honored over all of the nations. NIV 2 Great is the LORD in Zion; he is exalted over all the nations. NIRV 3 Let them praise his great and wonderful name. He is holy. NIV 3 Let them praise your great and awesome name-- he is holy. NIRV 4 The King is mighty. He loves what is fair. He has set up the rules for fairness. He has done what is right and fair for the people of Jacob. NIV 4 The King is mighty, he loves justice-- you have established equity; in Jacob you have done what is just and right. NIRV 5 Honor the LORD our God. Worship at his feet. He is holy. NIV 5 Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy. NIRV 6 Moses and Aaron were two of his priests. Samuel was one of those who worshiped him. They called out to the Lord. And he answered them. NIV 6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel was among those who called on his name; they called on the LORD and he answered them. NIRV 7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud. They obeyed his laws and the orders he gave them. NIV 7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept his statutes and the decrees he gave them. NIRV 8 LORD our God, you answered them. You showed Israel that you are a God who forgives. But when they did wrong, you punished them. NIV 8 O LORD our God, you answered them; you were to Israel a forgiving God, though you punished their misdeeds. NIRV 9 Honor the LORD our God. Worship at his holy mountain. The LORD our God is holy. NIV 9 Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the LORD our God is holy.
