Romans 11:25-36

NRS 25 So that you may not claim to be wiser than you are, brothers and sisters, I want you to understand this mystery: a hardening has come upon part of Israel, until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. NIV 25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. NRS 26 And so all Israel will be saved; as it is written, "Out of Zion will come the Deliverer; he will banish ungodliness from Jacob." NIV 26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. NRS 27 "And this is my covenant with them, when I take away their sins." NIV 27 And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins." NRS 28 As regards the gospel they are enemies of God for your sake; but as regards election they are beloved, for the sake of their ancestors; NIV 28 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, NRS 29 for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. NIV 29 for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable. NRS 30 Just as you were once disobedient to God but have now received mercy because of their disobedience, NIV 30 Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, NRS 31 so they have now been disobedient in order that, by the mercy shown to you, they too may now receive mercy. NIV 31 so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God's mercy to you. NRS 32 For God has imprisoned all in disobedience so that he may be merciful to all. NIV 32 For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all. NRS 33 O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! NIV 33 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! NRS 34 "For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?" NIV 34 "Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?" NRS 35 "Or who has given a gift to him, to receive a gift in return?" NIV 35 "Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?" NRS 36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen. NIV 36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
