Romans 15:14-33

TMB 14 And I myself also am persuaded about you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. NIV 14 I myself am convinced, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, complete in knowledge and competent to instruct one another. TMB 15 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some measure to remind you, because of the grace that is given to me from God, NIV 15 I have written you quite boldly on some points, as if to remind you of them again, because of the grace God gave me TMB 16 that I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the Gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. NIV 16 to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles with the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. TMB 17 I have therefore cause that I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God. NIV 17 Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God. TMB 18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient by word and deed, NIV 18 I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done-- TMB 19 through mighty signs and wonders by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem and round about into Illyricum, I have fully preached the Gospel of Christ. NIV 19 by the power of signs and miracles, through the power of the Spirit. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ. TMB 20 Yea, so have I striven to preach the Gospel not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation; NIV 20 It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else's foundation. TMB 21 but as it is written: "To whom He was not spoken of, they shall see; and they that have not heard shall understand." NIV 21 Rather, as it is written: "Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand." TMB 22 For this cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you. NIV 22 This is why I have often been hindered from coming to you. TMB 23 But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you, NIV 23 But now that there is no more place for me to work in these regions, and since I have been longing for many years to see you, TMB 24 whensoever I make my journey into Spain I will come to you. For I trust to see you on my journey, and to be brought on my way thither by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company. NIV 24 I plan to do so when I go to Spain. I hope to visit you while passing through and to have you assist me on my journey there, after I have enjoyed your company for a while. TMB 25 But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints. NIV 25 Now, however, I am on my way to Jerusalem in the service of the saints there. TMB 26 For it hath pleased those of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints who are at Jerusalem. NIV 26 For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem. TMB 27 It hath pleased them verily, and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers in their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things. NIV 27 They were pleased to do it, and indeed they owe it to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in the Jews' spiritual blessings, they owe it to the Jews to share with them their material blessings. TMB 28 When therefore I have performed this, and have secured to them this fruit, I will come to you on my way to Spain. NIV 28 So after I have completed this task and have made sure that they have received this fruit, I will go to Spain and visit you on the way. TMB 29 And I am sure that when I come unto you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the Gospel of Christ. NIV 29 I know that when I come to you, I will come in the full measure of the blessing of Christ. TMB 30 Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me, NIV 30 I urge you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me. TMB 31 that I may be delivered from those who do not believe in Judea, and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted by the saints, NIV 31 Pray that I may be rescued from the unbelievers in Judea and that my service in Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints there, TMB 32 and that I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed. NIV 32 so that by God's will I may come to you with joy and together with you be refreshed. TMB 33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen. NIV 33 The God of peace be with you all. Amen.
