Salmos 38

1 SENHOR, não me repreendas no teu furornem me disciplines na tua ira.

1 LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath.

2 Pois as tuas flechas me atravessaram,e a tua mão me atingiu.

2 Your arrows have pierced me, and your hand has come down on me.

3 Por causa de tua ira, todo o meu corpo está doente;não há saúde nos meus ossos por causa do meu pecado.

3 Because of your wrath there is no health in my body; there is no soundness in my bones because of my sin.

4 As minhas culpas me afogam;são como um fardo pesado e insuportável.

4 My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear.

5 Minhas feridas cheiram mal e supurampor causa da minha insensatez.

5 My wounds fester and are loathsome because of my sinful folly.

6 Estou encurvado e muitíssimo abatido;o dia todo saio vagueando e pranteando.

6 I am bowed down and brought very low; all day long I go about mourning.

7 Estou ardendo em febre;todo o meu corpo está doente.

7 My back is filled with searing pain; there is no health in my body.

8 Sinto-me muito fraco e totalmente esmagado;meu coração geme de angústia.

8 I am feeble and utterly crushed; I groan in anguish of heart.

9 Senhor, diante de ti estão todos os meus anseios;o meu suspiro não te é oculto.

9 All my longings lie open before you, Lord; my sighing is not hidden from you.

10 Meu coração palpita, as forças me faltam;até a luz dos meus olhos se foi.

10 My heart pounds, my strength fails me; even the light has gone from my eyes.

11 Meus amigos e companheiros me evitampor causa da doença que me aflige;ficam longe de mim os meus vizinhos.

11 My friends and companions avoid me because of my wounds; my neighbors stay far away.

12 Os que desejam matar-me preparam armadilhas,os que me querem prejudicar anunciam a minha ruína;passam o dia planejando traição.

12 Those who want to kill me set their traps, those who would harm me talk of my ruin; all day long they scheme and lie.

13 Como um surdo, não ouço,como um mudo, não abro a boca.

13 I am like the deaf, who cannot hear, like the mute, who cannot speak;

14 Fiz-me como quem não ouve,e em cuja boca não há resposta.

14 I have become like one who does not hear, whose mouth can offer no reply.

15 SENHOR, em ti espero;tu me responderás, ó Senhor meu Deus!

15 LORD, I wait for you; you will answer, Lord my God.

16 Pois eu disse: “Não permitas que eles se divirtam à minha custanem triunfem sobre mim quando eu tropeçar”.

16 For I said, “Do not let them gloat or exalt themselves over me when my feet slip.”

17 Estou a ponto de cair,e a minha dor está sempre comigo.

17 For I am about to fall, and my pain is ever with me.

18 Confesso a minha culpa;em angústia estou por causa do meu pecado.

18 I confess my iniquity; I am troubled by my sin.

19 Meus inimigos, porém, são muitos e poderosos;é grande o número dos que me odeiam sem motivo.

19 Many have become my enemies without cause ; those who hate me without reason are numerous.

20 Os que me retribuem o bem com o malcaluniam-me porque é o bem que procuro.

20 Those who repay my good with evil lodge accusations against me, though I seek only to do what is good.

21 SENHOR, não me abandones!Não fiques longe de mim, ó meu Deus!

21 LORD, do not forsake me; do not be far from me, my God.

22 Apressa-te a ajudar-me,Senhor, meu Salvador!

22 Come quickly to help me, my Lord and my Savior.
