1 Salmo 68<br />Para el director del coro: cántico. Salmo de David.<br />Levántate, oh Dios, y dispersa a tus enemigos;<br />que todos los que odian a Dios corran por sus vidas.
1 May God arise, may his enemies be scattered; may his foes flee before him.
2 Sóplalos y disípalos como si fueran humo;<br />derrítelos como la cera en el fuego;<br />que los malvados perezcan en la presencia de Dios.
2 May you blow them away like smoke— as wax melts before the fire, may the wicked perish before God.
3 Pero que los justos se alegren;<br />que se gocen en la presencia de Dios;<br />que estén llenos de alegría.
3 But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.
4 ¡Canten alabanzas a Dios y a su nombre!<br />Canten alabanzas en alta voz al que cabalga sobre las nubes.<br />Su nombre es el Señor<br />;<br />¡alégrense en su presencia!
4 Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on the clouds ; rejoice before him—his name is the LORD.
5 Padre de los huérfanos, defensor de las viudas,<br />este es Dios y su morada es santa.
5 A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.
6 Dios ubica a los solitarios en familias;<br />pone en libertad a los prisioneros y los llena de alegría.<br />Pero a los rebeldes los hace vivir en una tierra abrasada por el sol.
6 God sets the lonely in families,he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.
7 Oh Dios, cuando sacaste a tu pueblo de Egipto,<br />cuando marchaste a través de las áridas tierras baldías,<br />Interludio
7 When you, God, went out before your people, when you marched through the wilderness,

8 the earth shook, the heavens poured down rain, before God, the One of Sinai, before God, the God of Israel.
9 Enviaste lluvia en abundancia, oh Dios,<br />para refrescar la tierra agotada.
9 You gave abundant showers, O God; you refreshed your weary inheritance.
10 Finalmente allí se estableció tu pueblo<br />y, con una abundante cosecha, oh Dios,<br />proveíste para tu pueblo necesitado.
10 Your people settled in it, and from your bounty, God, you provided for the poor.
11 El Señor da la palabra,<br />y un gran ejército<br /> trae las buenas noticias.
11 The Lord announces the word, and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng:
12 Los reyes enemigos y sus ejércitos huyen,<br />mientras las mujeres de Israel reparten el botín.
12 “Kings and armies flee in haste; the women at home divide the plunder.
13 Hasta los que vivían entre los rediles encontraron tesoros,<br />palomas con alas de plata<br />y plumas de oro.
13 Even while you sleep among the sheep pens,the wings of my dove are sheathed with silver, its feathers with shining gold.”
14 El Todopoderoso esparció a los reyes enemigos<br />como una tormenta de nieve que sopla en el monte Salmón.
14 When the Almighty scattered the kings in the land, it was like snow fallen on Mount Zalmon.
15 Las montañas de Basán son majestuosas,<br />con muchas cumbres altas que llegan al cielo.
15 Mount Bashan, majestic mountain, Mount Bashan, rugged mountain,
16 Oh montañas empinadas, ¿por qué miran con envidia<br />al monte Sión, donde Dios decidió vivir,<br />donde el Señor<br /> vivirá para siempre?
16 why gaze in envy, you rugged mountain, at the mountain where God chooses to reign, where the LORD himself will dwell forever?
17 Rodeado de incontables millares de carros de guerra,<br />el Señor llegó del monte Sinaí y entró en su santuario.
17 The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands; the Lord has come from Sinai into his sanctuary.
18 Cuando ascendiste a las alturas,<br />llevaste a una multitud de cautivos;<br />recibiste regalos de la gente,<br />incluso de quienes se rebelaron contra ti.<br />Ahora el Señor<br /> Dios vivirá allí, en medio de nosotros.
18 When you ascended on high, you took many captives; you received gifts from people, even from the rebellious— that you,LORD God, might dwell there.
19 ¡Alaben al Señor, alaben a Dios nuestro salvador!<br />Pues cada día nos lleva en sus brazos.<br />Interludio
19 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.
20 ¡Nuestro Dios es un Dios que salva!<br />El Señor<br /> Soberano nos rescata de la muerte.
20 Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign LORD comes escape from death.
21 Pero Dios aplastará las cabezas de sus enemigos,<br />aplastará los cráneos de los que aman sus caminos perversos.
21 Surely God will crush the heads of his enemies, the hairy crowns of those who go on in their sins.
22 El Señor dice: «Haré descender a mis enemigos desde Basán;<br />los levantaré desde las profundidades del mar.
22 The Lord says, “I will bring them from Bashan; I will bring them from the depths of the sea,
23 Ustedes, pueblo mío, se lavarán los pies en la sangre de ellos,<br />¡y hasta los perros tendrán su porción!».
23 that your feet may wade in the blood of your foes, while the tongues of your dogs have their share.”
24 Ya asoma tu procesión, oh Dios,<br />la procesión de mi Dios y Rey mientras él entra en el santuario.
24 Your procession, God, has come into view, the procession of my God and King into the sanctuary.
25 Los cantores van adelante, los músicos van detrás;<br />en medio hay jovencitas que tocan panderetas.
25 In front are the singers, after them the musicians; with them are the young women playing the timbrels.
26 Alaben a Dios todos los del pueblo de Israel;<br />alaben al Señor<br />, la fuente de vida de Israel.
26 Praise God in the great congregation; praise the LORD in the assembly of Israel.
27 Miren, la pequeña tribu de Benjamín va al frente;<br />le sigue una gran multitud de gobernantes de Judá<br />y todos los gobernantes de Zabulón y Neftalí.
27 There is the little tribe of Benjamin, leading them, there the great throng of Judah’s princes, and there the princes of Zebulun and of Naphtali.
28 Oh Dios, haz que tu poder se presente;<br />despliega tu poder, oh Dios, como lo has hecho en el pasado.
28 Summon your power, God ; show us your strength, our God, as you have done before.
29 Los reyes de la tierra traen tributo<br />a tu templo en Jerusalén.
29 Because of your temple at Jerusalem kings will bring you gifts.
30 Reprende a estas naciones enemigas,<br />a estos animales salvajes que acechan entre los juncos,<br />a esta manada de toros en medio de los becerros más débiles.<br />Hazlos traer barras de plata como humilde tributo.<br />Dispersa a las naciones que se deleitan en la guerra.
30 Rebuke the beast among the reeds, the herd of bulls among the calves of the nations. Humbled, may the beast bring bars of silver. Scatter the nations who delight in war.
31 Que Egipto venga con regalos de metales preciosos;<br />que Etiopía<br /> se incline en sumisión a Dios.
31 Envoys will come from Egypt; Cush will submit herself to God.
32 Canten a Dios, reinos de la tierra,<br />canten alabanzas al Señor.<br />Interludio
32 Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth, sing praise to the Lord,
33 Canten al que cabalga por los cielos antiguos;<br />su poderosa voz truena desde los cielos.
33 to him who rides across the highest heavens, the ancient heavens, who thunders with mighty voice.
34 Cuéntenles a todos acerca del poder de Dios.<br />Su majestad brilla sobre Israel;<br />su fuerza es poderosa en los cielos.
34 Proclaim the power of God, whose majesty is over Israel, whose power is in the heavens.
35 Dios es imponente en su santuario;<br />el Dios de Israel le da poder y fuerza a su pueblo.<br />¡Alabado sea Dios!
35 You, God, are awesome in your sanctuary; the God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God!
