Zechariah 4

WBT 1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep, NIV 1 Then the angel who talked with me returned and wakened me, as a man is wakened from his sleep. WBT 2 And said to me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick: all [of] gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which [were] upon the top of it. NIV 2 He asked me, "What do you see?" I answered, "I see a solid gold lampstand with a bowl at the top and seven lights on it, with seven channels to the lights. WBT 3 And two olive-trees by it, one upon the right [side] of the bowl, and the other upon the left [side]. NIV 3 Also there are two olive trees by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left." WBT 4 So I answered and spoke to the angel that talked with me, saying, What [are] these, my lord? NIV 4 I asked the angel who talked with me, "What are these, my lord?" WBT 5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said to me, Knowest thou not what these are? and I said, No, my lord. NIV 5 He answered, "Do you not know what these are?" "No, my lord," I replied. WBT 6 Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, This [is] the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. NIV 6 So he said to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty. WBT 7 Who [art] thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel [thou shalt become] a plain: and he shall bring forth [its] head-stone [with] shoutings, [crying], Grace, grace, to it. NIV 7 "What are you, O mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of 'God bless it! God bless it!' " WBT 8 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, NIV 8 Then the word of the LORD came to me: WBT 9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me to you. NIV 9 "The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you. WBT 10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel [with] those seven; they [are] the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth. NIV 10 "Who despises the day of small things? Men will rejoice when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. "(These seven are the eyes of the LORD, which range throughout the earth.)" WBT 11 Then I answered, and said to him, What [are] these two olive-trees upon the right [side] of the candlestick and upon its left [side]? NIV 11 Then I asked the angel, "What are these two olive trees on the right and the left of the lampstand?" WBT 12 And I answered again, and said to him, What [are these] two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden [oil] out of themselves? NIV 12 Again I asked him, "What are these two olive branches beside the two gold pipes that pour out golden oil?" WBT 13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these [are]? And I said, No, my lord. NIV 13 He replied, "Do you not know what these are?" "No, my lord," I said. WBT 14 Then said he, These [are] the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth. NIV 14 So he said, "These are the two who are anointed to serve the Lord of all the earth."
