1 Die Kinder Juda's waren: Perez, Hezron, Karmi, Hur und Sobal.

2 Reaja aber, der Sohn Sobals, zeugte Jahath. Jahath zeugte Ahumai und Lahad. Das sind die Freundschaften der Zorathiter.

3 Und dies ist der Stamm des Vaters Etams: Jesreel, Jisma, Jidbas; und ihre Schwester hieß Hazlelponi;

4 und Pnuel, der Vater Gedors, und Eser, der Vater Husas. Das sind die Kinder Hurs, des ersten Sohnes der Ephrata, des Vaters Bethlehems.

5 Ashur aber, der Vater Thekoas, hatte zwei Weiber: Helea und Naera.

6 Und Naera gebar ihm Ahussam, Hepher, Themni, Ahastari. Das sind die Kinder Naeras.

In this chapter is a further account of the tribe of Judah, and of some principal families in it, 1Ch 4:1-23 and of the tribe of Simeon, their families, cities, and villages, 1Ch 4:24-38 and of the enlargement of their borders, and conquest of the Amalekites, 1Ch 4:39-43.
