1 Let a manregard us in thismanner, as 1servants of Christ and 2stewards of 3the mysteries of God.

In thiscase, moreover, it is required of stewards that one be foundtrustworthy.

But to me it is a verysmallthing that I may be examined by you, or by any humancourt; in fact, I do not evenexaminemyself.

For I 4amconscious of nothing against myself, yet I am not by this5acquitted; but the one who examines me is the Lord.

Therefore6do not go on passingjudgmentbefore the time, but wait 7until the Lordcomeswho will both8bring to light the thingshidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of men's hearts; and theneachman's9praise will come to him from God.
