5 Abisúa engendró a Buqui y Buqui engendró a Uzi,

6 Uzi engendró a Zeraías y Zeraías engendró a Meraiot,

7 Meraiot engendró a Amarías y Amarías engendró a Ahitob,

8 Ahitob engendró a Sadoc y Sadoc engendró a Ahimaas,

9 Ahimaas engendró a Azarías y Azarías engendró a Johanán,

10 Johanán engendró a Azarías (éste fue el que sirvió como sacerdote en la casa que Salomón había edificado en Jerusalén),

11 Azarías engendró a Amarías y Amarías engendró a Ahitob,

12 Ahitob engendró a Sadoc y Sadoc engendró a Salum,

13 Salum engendró a Hilcías e Hilcías engendró a Azarías,

14 Azarías engendró a Seraías y Seraías engendró a Josadac,

15 y Josadac fue al destierro cuando el SEÑOR llevó a Judá y a Jerusalén por mano de Nabucodonosor.

INTRODUCTION TO 1 CHRONICLES 6

This chapter begins with the fathers and heads of the tribe of Levi, 1Ch 6:1-3, and reckons up the high priests in the line of Eleazar, to the Babylonish captivity, 1Ch 6:4-15 gives an account of the families of the sons of Levi, 1Ch 6:16-30 and of those Levites that were employed as singers, and in other ministrations in the sanctuary in the times of David and Solomon, 1Ch 6:31-49, then follows a repetition of the sons of Aaron in the line of Eleazar, to the said times, 1Ch 6:50-53, and a recital of the dwelling places of the Levites in the several tribes, 1Ch 6:54-81.
