John 14:15-30

"1If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

Role of the Spirit

"I will ask the Father, and He will give you another 2Helper, that He may be with you forever;
that is 3the Spirit of truth, 4whom the world cannot * receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.
"I will not leave you as orphans; 5I will come to you.
"6After a little while 7the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; 8because I live, you will live also.
"9In that day you will know that 10I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
"11He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and 12he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will 13disclose Myself to him."
14Judas (not Iscariot ) said to Him, "Lord, what then has happened 15that You are going to disclose Yourself to us and not to the world?"
Jesus answered and said to him, "16If anyone loves Me, he will 17keep My word; and 18My Father will love him, and We 19will come to him and make Our abode with him.
"He who does not love Me 20does not keep My words; and 21the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me.
"These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you.
"But the 22Helper, the Holy Spirit, 23whom the Father will send in My name, 24He will teach you all things, and 25bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
"26Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. 27Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
"28You heard that I said to you, 'I go away, and 29I will come to you.' If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because 30I go to the Father, for 31the Father is greater than I.
"Now 32I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe.
"I will not speak much more with you, for 33the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing * in Me;
