[Now after He had risenearly on the first day of the week, He firstappeared to 1MaryMagdalene, from whom He had cast out sevendemons.

2She went and reported to those who had been with Him, while they were mourning and weeping.

When they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, 3they refused to believe it.

After that, 4He appeared in a differentform5to two of them while they were walking along on their way to the country.

They wentaway and reported it to the others, but they 6did not believe them either.
The Disciples Commissioned
14Afterward7He appeared8to the eleventhemselves as they were reclining at the table; and He reproached them for their 9unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believedthose who had seen Him after He had risen.

And He said to them, "10Go into all the world and preach the gospel to allcreation.
16
"11He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.
17
"Thesesigns will accompanythose who have believed: 12in My name they will cast out demons, they will 13speak with newtongues;
18
they will 14pick up serpents, and if they drinkanydeadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will 15layhands on the sick, and they will recover*."

Sothen, when the LordJesus had 16spoken to them, He 17was received up into heaven and 18satdown at the righthand of God.
