Andwhen he had opened the fourthseal, I heard the voice of the fourthbeastsay, Comeandsee.

And I looked, andbehold a palehorse:andhisname that satonhim was Death,andHellfollowedwithhim.Andpower was given unto them[a]over the fourth part of the earth, to killwithsword,andwithhunger,andwithdeath,andwith the beasts of the earth.

Andwhen he had opened the fifthseal, I sawunder the altar the souls of them that were slainfor the word of God,andfor the testimonywhich they held:

And they cried with a loudvoice,saying, Howlong, O Lord,holyandtrue, dost thounotjudgeandavengeourbloodon them that dwellon the earth?

Andwhiterobes were given unto every one of them;and it was said unto them,that they should restyet for a littleseason,untiltheirfellowservantsalsoandtheirbrethren, that should be killedas*they were, should be fulfilled.

And I beheldwhen he had opened the sixthseal,and,lo, there was a greatearthquake;and the sunbecameblackassackcloth of hair,and the moonbecameasblood;

And the stars of heavenfellunto the earth, even as a fig treecastethher untimely figs,[b] when she is shakenof a mightywind.

And the heavendepartedas a scroll when it is rolled together; andeverymountainandisland were moved out oftheirplaces.

And the kings of the earth,and the great men,and the rich men,and the chief captains,and the mighty men,andeverybondman,andevery free man,hidthemselvesin the densandin the rocks of the mountains;

Andsaid to the mountainsandrocks,Fallonus,andhideusfrom the face of him that sittethon the throne,andfrom the wrath of the Lamb:

For the greatday of hiswrath is come; andwho shall be able to stand?
