Ezequiel 39:15-25

15 Donde encuentren huesos pondrán un indicador para que los equipos encargados de enterrarlos los trasladen al valle de las Multitudes de Gog y los sepulten allí.

16 (Habrá allí una ciudad llamada Hamona, que significa ‘multitud’). Así por fin quedará limpia la tierra”.

17 »Ahora, hijo de hombre, esto dice el Señor
Soberano: llama a las aves y a los animales salvajes y diles: “Reúnanse para mi gran banquete sacrificial. ¡Vengan de lejos y de cerca a los montes de Israel y coman allí carne y beban sangre!

18 ¡Coman la carne de hombres valientes y beban la sangre de príncipes como si fueran carneros, corderos, cabras y toros; todos animales engordados de Basán!

19 Devoren la carne hasta quedar hastiados; beban la sangre hasta embriagarse. Es el banquete sacrificial que he preparado para ustedes.

20 Sáciense de la mesa de mi banquete; devoren caballos y conductores de carros, hombres poderosos y toda clase de guerreros valientes, dice el Señor
Soberano”.

21 »De ese modo, mostraré mi gloria a las naciones. Todos verán el castigo que les impuse y el poder de mi puño cuando golpeo.

22 A partir de entonces, el pueblo de Israel sabrá que yo soy el Señor
su Dios.

23 Luego las naciones sabrán por qué los israelitas fueron enviados al destierro: fue el castigo por su pecado, porque fueron infieles a su Dios. Por lo tanto, les di la espalda y dejé que sus enemigos los destruyeran.

24 Les di la espalda y los castigué por su contaminación y por sus pecados.

Soberano: pondré fin a la cautividad de mi pueblo.

Ezequiel 39:15-25 Meaning and Commentary

INTRODUCTION TO EZEKIEL 39

This chapter is a continuation of the prophecy of the destruction of Gog, which is both repeated, and more largely described, Eze 39:1-8, then follows an account of the burning of his weapons of war, which will last seven years in burning, during which time there will be no need of the use of wood, Eze 39:9,10, and of the burial of him, and many of his army; the place where, and the time that will be taken up in doing this, even seven months, are observed, Eze 39:11-16, and every feathered fowl and beast of the field are called upon to feed on the flesh of those that are left unburied, Eze 39:17-20 and by all this the glory of the Lord will be seen, known, and acknowledged, both by the Heathens, and by the house of Israel, Eze 39:21,22, and the former will also be informed that the present captivity of the Jews has been for their sins and transgressions, Eze 39:23,24, and the chapter is concluded with a promise of their return from captivity, when they shall know the Lord, and their interest in him; who will after this no more hide his face from them, but pour out his Spirit upon them, under whose influence they shall ever continue, Eze 39:25-29.
