Through faithalsoSaraherselfreceivedstrengthtoconceiveseed,and was delivered of a child when she was pastage*, because she judged him faithful who had promised .

Therefore sprang thereevenofone,andhim as good as dead , so many as the stars of the sky in multitude,andas the sandwhich is by the seashoreinnumerable.

Thesealldiedinfaith,not having received the promises,but having seenthem afar off,and were persuaded of them, andembraced them, andconfessedthat they werestrangersandpilgrimson the earth.

For they that say such things declare plainlythat they seek a country.

Andtruly,if they had been mindful of that country fromwhence they came out , they might have hadopportunity to have returned .

Butnow they desire a better country, that is , an heavenly:whereforeGodisnotashamed* to be calledtheirGod:for he hath prepared for them a city.
