Jesusthereforeagaingroaninginhimselfcomethto the grave*. It was a cave,and a stonelayuponit.

Jesussaid , Take ye away the stone.Martha, the sister of him that was dead , saith unto him,Lord, by this time he stinketh : for he hath been dead four days.

Jesussaith unto her,Said Inot unto thee,that,if thou wouldest believe , thou shouldest see the glory of God?

Then they took away the stone from the place where the deadwaslaid . AndJesusliftedup his eyes,andsaid , Father, I thanktheethat thou hast heardme.

AndIknewthat thou hearestmealways:butbecause of the peoplewhich stand by I said it, that they may believethatthou hast sentme.

And when he thus had spoken , he cried with a loudvoice,Lazarus,comeforth.

And he that was dead came forth , boundhandandfoot with graveclothes:andhisface was bound about with a napkin.Jesussaith unto them,Loosehim,and let himgo .

Thenmanyof the JewswhichcametoMary,and had seen the things whichJesusdid , believedonhim.

Butsomeofthem went their waysto the Pharisees,andtoldthem what thingsJesus had done .

Thengathered the chief priestsand the Pharisees a council,andsaid , What do we ? forthismandoethmanymiracles.
