Levítico 26:3-13

3 Si anduviereis en mis decretos, y guardareis mis mandamientos, y los pusiereis por obra

4 yo daré vuestra lluvia en su tiempo, y la tierra dará su aumento, y el árbol del campo dará su fruto

5 y la trilla alcanzará a la vendimia, y la vendimia alcanzará a la sementera, y comeréis vuestro pan hasta saciaros y habitaréis seguros en vuestra tierra

6 Porque yo daré paz en la tierra, y dormiréis, y no habrá quien os espante; y haré quitar las malas bestias de vuestra tierra, y por vuestra tierra no pasará espada

7 Y perseguiréis a vuestros enemigos, y delante de vosotros caerán a espada

8 Y cinco de vosotros perseguirán a cien, y cien de vosotros perseguirán a diez millares, y vuestros enemigos caerán a espada delante de vosotros

9 Porque yo me volveré a vosotros, y os haré fructíferos, y os multiplicaré, y afirmaré mi pacto con vosotros

10 Y comeréis lo añejo de mucho tiempo, y sacaréis fuera lo añejo a causa de lo nuevo

11 Y pondré mi morada en medio de vosotros, y mi alma no os abominará

12 y andaré entre vosotros, y yo seré vuestro Dios, y vosotros seréis mi pueblo

13 YO SOY vuestro Dios, que os saqué de la tierra de Egipto, para que no fuerais sus esclavos; y rompí las coyundas de vuestro yugo, y os he hecho andar con el rostro alto

INTRODUCTION TO LEVITICUS 26

In this chapter, after a repetition of some laws against idolatry, and concerning keeping sabbaths, and reverencing the sanctuary of God, Le 26:1,2; in order to encourage the Israelites to keep the various statutes and commandments in this book, and in the preceding, many promises are made of plenty, and peace, and safety from enemies, and of the presence of God with them, Le 26:3-13; and on the contrary, to such as should despise and break his commandments, the most grievous things are threatened, as diseases of body, destruction by their enemies, barrenness and unfruitfulness of land, the sore judgments of wild beasts, famine, sword, and pestilence, Le 26:14-39; and yet after all, when they should confess their sins, and were humbled for them, the Lord promises to remember the covenant he made with their ancestors, and would deal kindly with them, and not cast them away, and utterly destroy them, Le 26:40-46.
