Proverbios 19:2-12

2 El alma sin sabiduría no es buena; y el presuroso de pies peca

3 La locura del hombre tuerce su camino; y contra el SEÑOR se aíra su corazón

4 Las riquezas atraen muchos amigos; mas el pobre, de su amigo es apartado

5 El testigo falso no será absuelto; y el que habla mentiras no escapará

6 Muchos rogarán al príncipe; mas cada uno es amigo del hombre que da dones

7 Todos los hermanos del pobre le aborrecen; ¡cuánto más sus amigos se alejarán de él! Buscará la amistad y no la hallará

8 El que posee entendimiento, ama su alma; guarda la inteligencia, para hallar el bien

9 El testigo falso no quedará sin castigo; y el que habla mentiras, perecerá

10 No conviene al loco el deleite; ¡cuánto menos al siervo ser señor de los príncipes

11 El entendimiento del hombre detiene su furor; y su honra es disimular la ofensa

12 Como el bramido del cachorro de león es la ira del rey; y su favor como el rocío sobre la hierba

INTRODUCTION TO 1 KINGS 8

This chapter gives an account of the introduction of the ark into the temple, 1Ki 8:1-9 of the glory of the Lord filling it, 1Ki 8:10,11 of a speech Solomon made to the people concerning the building of the temple, and how he came to be engaged in it, 1Ki 8:12-21, of a prayer of his he put up on this occasion, requesting, that what supplications soever were made at any time, or on any account, by Israelites or strangers, might be accepted by the Lord, 1Ki 8:22-53, and of his blessing the people of Israel at the close of it, with some useful exhortations, 1Ki 8:54-61, and of the great number of sacrifices offered up by him, and the feast he made for the people, upon which he dismissed them, 1Ki 8:62-66.
