In a recent edition of his pastors' newsletter, H.B. London Jr. talks about Phil Mickelson's win at the Masters golf tournament -- his first ever win of a major tournament. London points out: "Phil had a terrible first nine. He lost the lead that he had taken into the final round, but birdied four of the last five holes before dropping a dramatic putt on the 18th to defeat Ernie Els by one stroke. The Masters winner said he "felt it." This was his day, and he was determined that a few bad holes on the front nine would not destroy his quest for victory.
"In many ways, ministry is like golf. It is so difficult to get it right, but every now and again, we do it the way it should be done and gain the confidence to 'go again.' So keep swinging and praying. In the end, we will win 'for the MASTER.' We will reap a harvest if we do not give up! (see Galatians 6:9)."
