3 No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse. 5 guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. 21 May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you. 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. 9 For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land. 34 Wait for the LORD and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you will see it. 7 "But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in you.

40:13-17pp -- Ps 70:1-5

For the director of music. Of David. A psalm.

1 I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. 9 I will praise you forever for what you have done; in your name I will hope, for your name is good. I will praise you in the presence of your saints. 6 They conspire, they lurk, they watch my steps, eager to take my life. 6 May those who hope in you not be disgraced because of me, O Lord, the LORD Almighty; may those who seek you not be put to shame because of me, O God of Israel. 20 Scorn has broken my heart and has left me helpless; I looked for sympathy, but there was none, for comforters, but I found none. 95 The wicked are waiting to destroy me, but I will ponder your statutes. 5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.
