12
But you, O LORD, sit enthroned forever;1 your renown endures2 through all generations.313
You will arise4 and have compassion5 on Zion, for it is time6 to show favor7 to her; the appointed time8 has come.
14
For her stones are dear to your servants; her very dust moves them to pity.
15
The nations will fear9 the name of the LORD, all the kings10 of the earth will revere your glory.
16
For the LORD will rebuild Zion11 and appear in his glory.1217
He will respond to the prayer13 of the destitute; he will not despise their plea.
18
Let this be written14 for a future generation, that a people not yet created15 may praise the LORD:
19
"The LORD looked down16 from his sanctuary on high, from heaven he viewed the earth,
20
to hear the groans of the prisoners17 and release those condemned to death."
21
So the name of the LORD will be declared18 in Zion and his praise19 in Jerusalem
22
when the peoples and the kingdoms assemble to worship20 the LORD.
