May a creditor1 seize all he has; may strangers plunder2 the fruits of his labor.312
May no one extend kindness to him or take pity4 on his fatherless children.
May his descendants be cut off,5 their names blotted out6 from the next generation.
May the iniquity of his fathers7 be remembered before the LORD; may the sin of his mother never be blotted out.
May their sins always remain before8 the LORD, that he may cut off the memory9 of them from the earth.
For he never thought of doing a kindness, but hounded to death the poor and the needy10 and the brokenhearted.1117
He loved to pronounce a curse-- may ita come on him;12 he found no pleasure in blessing-- may it beb far from him.
He wore cursing13 as his garment; it entered into his body like water,14 into his bones like oil.
May it be like a cloak wrapped15 about him, like a belt tied forever around him.
May this be the LORD's payment16 to my accusers, to those who speak evil17 of me.
But you, O Sovereign LORD, deal well with me for your name's sake;18 out of the goodness of your love,19 deliver me.20
