Praise the LORD.a1 Blessed is the man2 who fears the LORD,3 who finds great delight4 in his commands.
2
His children5 will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.
3
Wealth and riches6 are in his house, and his righteousness endures7 forever.

Even in darkness light dawns8 for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous9 man.b

Good will come to him who is generous and lends freely,10 who conducts his affairs with justice.

Surely he will never be shaken;11 a righteous man will be remembered12 forever.
7
He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast,13 trusting in the LORD.14
8
His heart is secure, he will have no fear;15 in the end he will look in triumph on his foes.16
9
He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor,17 his righteousness endures18 forever; his hornc will be lifted19 high in honor.
10
The wicked man will see20 and be vexed, he will gnash his teeth21 and waste away;22 the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.23
