1 I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; before the "gods"¹ I will sing² your praise. 2 I will bow down toward your holy temple³ and will praise your name⁴ for your love and your faithfulness,⁵ for you have exalted above all things your name and your word.⁶ 3 When I called,⁷ you answered me;⁸ you made me bold⁹ and stouthearted.¹⁰ 4 May all the kings of the earth¹¹ praise you, O LORD, when they hear the words of your mouth. 5 May they sing¹² of the ways of the LORD, for the glory of the LORD¹³ is great. 6 Though the LORD is on high, he looks upon the lowly,¹⁴ but the proud¹⁵ he knows from afar.
