How precious toa me are your thoughts,1 O God!2 How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them,3 they would outnumber the grains of sand.4 When I awake,5 I am still with you.
If only you would slay the wicked,6 O God! Away from me,7 you bloodthirsty men!820
They speak of you with evil intent; your adversaries9 misuse your name.1021
Do I not hate those11 who hate you, O LORD, and abhor12 those who rise up against you?
I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them my enemies.1323
Search me,14 O God, and know my heart;15 test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way16 in me, and lead me17 in the way everlasting.
