A psalm of praise. Of David.

1 I will exalt you,¹ my God the King;² I will praise your name³ for ever and ever. 2 Every day I will praise⁴ you and extol your name⁵ for ever and ever. 3 Great is the LORD⁶ and most worthy of praise;⁷ his greatness no one can fathom.⁸ 4 One generation⁹ will commend your works to another; they will tell¹⁰ of your mighty acts.¹¹ 5 They will speak of the glorious splendor¹² of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works.^a¹³ 6 They will tell¹⁴ of the power of your awesome works,¹⁵ and I will proclaim¹⁶ your great deeds.¹⁷ 7 They will celebrate your abundant goodness¹⁸ and joyfully sing¹⁹ of your righteousness.²⁰ 8 The LORD is gracious and compassionate,²¹ slow to anger and rich in love.²² 9 The LORD is good²³ to all; he has compassion²⁴ on all he has made.
