You, O LORD, keep my lamp1 burning; my God turns my darkness into light.2
29
With your help3 I can advance against a troopa; with my God I can scale a wall.
30
As for God, his way is perfect;4 the word of the LORD is flawless.5 He is a shield6 for all who take refuge7 in him.
31
For who is God besides the LORD?8 And who is the Rock9 except our God?
32
It is God who arms me with strength10 and makes my way perfect.11
33
He makes my feet like the feet of a deer;12 he enables me to stand on the heights.13
34
He trains my hands for battle;14 my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
35
You give me your shield of victory, and your right hand sustains15 me; you stoop down to make me great.
36
You broaden the path16 beneath me, so that my ankles do not turn.17
37
I pursued my enemies18 and overtook them; I did not turn back till they were destroyed.
38
I crushed them19 so that they could not rise;20 they fell beneath my feet.21
