Psalm 18:9-19 (New International Version)

View In My Bible
9 He parted the heavens and came down;1 dark clouds2 were under his feet. 10 He mounted the cherubim3 and flew; he soared4 on the wings of the wind.5 11 He made darkness his covering,6 his canopy7 around him-- the dark rain clouds of the sky. 12 Out of the brightness of his presence8 clouds advanced, with hailstones9 and bolts of lightning.10 13 The LORD thundered11 from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded.a 14 He shot his arrows12 and scattered [the enemies], great bolts of lightning13 and routed them.14 15 The valleys of the sea were exposed and the foundations15 of the earth laid bare at your rebuke,16 O LORD, at the blast of breath from your nostrils.17 16 He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters.18 17 He rescued me from my powerful enemy,19 from my foes, who were too strong for me.20 18 They confronted me in the day of my disaster,21 but the LORD was my support.22 19 He brought me out into a spacious place;23 he rescued me because he delighted in me.24
