which is like a bridegroom1 coming forth from his pavilion,2 like a champion3 rejoicing to run his course.
It rises at one end of the heavens4 and makes its circuit to the other;5 nothing is hidden from its heat.
The law of the LORD6 is perfect,7 reviving the soul.8 The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy,9 making wise the simple.108
The precepts of the LORD are right,11 giving joy12 to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.139
The fear of the LORD14 is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous.1510
They are more precious than gold,16 than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey,17 than honey from the comb.1811
By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults.1913
Keep your servant also from willful sins;20 may they not rule over me.21 Then will I be blameless,22 innocent of great transgression.
