Test me,1 O LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind;2
3
for your love3 is ever before me, and I walk continually4 in your truth.5

I do not sit6 with deceitful men, nor do I consort with hypocrites;7
5
I abhor8 the assembly of evildoers and refuse to sit with the wicked.

I wash my hands in innocence,9 and go about your altar, O LORD,

proclaiming aloud your praise10 and telling of all your wonderful deeds.11
8
I love12 the house where you live, O LORD, the place where your glory dwells.13
9
Do not take away my soul along with sinners, my life with bloodthirsty men,14
10
in whose hands are wicked schemes,15 whose right hands are full of bribes.16
11
But I lead a blameless life; redeem me17 and be merciful to me.
12
My feet stand on level ground;18 in the great assembly19 I will praise the LORD.
